Teen Reads says,

Readers certainly will be drawn into THE TRAITORS’ GATE for its many plot twists and mysteries, as well as for its vivid and intense descriptions of Victorian London, including the city’s less savory sights and smells.

  • Avi took inspiration from Victorian London and author Charles Dickens, a Victorian Era Rock Star (video), for The Traitors’ Gate.
  • Sink even deeper into the history with Judith Flanders, who wrote over 500 pages for The Victorian City: Everyday Life in Dickens’ London.
  • Elizabeth Varadan includes The Traitors’ Gate as she describes Why Middle Grade Teachers Need Historical Mysteries in the Classroom Library — devour even more historical fiction with her many MGlit recs!DBR_Spring2015sm
  • The Traitors’ Gate earned a School Library Journal starred review and was named among Best Books of the Year by Banks College of Education.
  • Inkweaver and BookLoons both offer a longer synopsis of the action you’ll encounter in The Traitors’ Gate.
  • Publisher’s Weekly interviews Avi for Catch You Later, Traitor.
